From unruly teenager to PhD University Lecturer, with just about every occupation you can think of in between, Yalmambirra’s colourful and amazing stories have made up the jigsaw puzzle of his life.  
This honest and open recollection of his greatest memories, will have you laughing, crying and, at times, shocked, at what it was like to be an Aboriginal man growing up in 20th century Australia.
It was in 1997, at the age of 47, when he became fully immersed in his Wiradjuri heritage, studying and creating an astounding career as a University Lecturer, winning a team teacher award, noted as one of his career highlights.  Yalmambirri means to ‘teach, speak,’ and he has spent the last 20 years sharing his extensive knowledge, to provide avenues where Wiradjuri peoples have a voice.
